Retreat Info

Ø What exactly is a “Search” retreat?

Search is a retreat weekend designed to help high school Juniors and Seniors experience their Catholic Faith with friends.  It is a very fun, very safe and very meaningful weekend.

Ø Why should I go?

Well, first it is a great gift to you, to get away from all the "things", to clear your mind and take a fresh look at your life, and to make new, healthy friendships.  Secondly, if your life is like a lot of young people, you have some questions concerning yourself, relationships that you are in, questions about “what am I going to do with my life”, and questions about your faith.  We'll try to give you an opportunity to focus on these questions and maybe SEARCH and find your solutions.  Lastly, maybe God wants you to be there, so he can have a chance to spend a little time with you.  God loves you and wants to light the fire in your heart and fill your heart with his love and maybe even shed light on his unique purpose for you.  Who knows -- this invitation may have found you for some heavenly reasons!!

Ø Who will be at this Search retreat?

A group of people your age who will be creating and enjoying the weekend with you.  You will soon realize that you are among friends.  God didn’t create us to go through life alone and he can often express himself through a group of friends in an environment like a retreat offers.

Ø What exactly will we be doing at this Search retreat?

You will have a lot of fun and you will hear some talks by youth and go through the weekend with your small group.  The weekend is a journey and everyone goes on the journey with you.

Ø Where will we have this Search retreat?

Ø When do I need to be at the Search retreat and when is it over?

Check-in for the retreat is between 6:30pm and 7:00pm on Friday.  It is IMPORTANT to be not to be early or not be late on Friday night to check in.  We also encourage carpooling with any other youth that may be attending from your parish.  The retreat ends Sunday at 2pm.
